So, let’s take a little trip down memory lane for a second. I went to an all-boys catholic school on Long Island. The school was centered mainly around its incredible athletic program. I, however, wanted to be far far far away from a field or a court as humanly possible. This made high school really hard for me in terms of the comradery and the friendships that were formed on sports teams. I just didn’t enjoy team sports – plain and simple. In my opinion, the only thing I really missed out on was the fashion. The varsity jackets, the team sweatshirts, the shorts and tees. People love representing their former high school or college and I didn’t get to really do that- plus those varsity jackets are such a good streetwear accessory. WELL guess who is living his high school sport team fantasy now? It’s me! Walmart has so many casual clothing options that’ll elevate any look you’re trying to pull off!
I recently found so many great casual outfit options on the Walmart site and decided to showcase a throwback to those high school days of comfortable sweatshirts and bulky bomber jackets. Two jackets that I found were the Maximos snap button letterman varsity jacket and the Bocini fleeced varsity jacket. In the photos I have on the Maximos varsity jacket which pairs really well with my look and is perfect for that crisp December day. I paired the jacket with a solid grey Russell pullover sweatshirt. Another great sweatshirt option for this look is the No Boundaries sherpa hoodie (for those colder days). Since the upper half of my body is a bit wider due to the clothing I decided to do a skinny jean just to even it out a bit. These black jeans are from George and fit so so well that I wear them with almost every outfit. The other skinny jeans I ordered were the No Boundaries dark wash jeans that would’ve also went well with this look. My boots are from Lugz and remind me of the good old days when we were little kids and my family and I would go out and search for the perfect size tree before the holidays. I always carry around my phone, wallet, keys, chapstick so I needed a place to store them all and this crossbody bag from No Boundaries was the perfect place for all of them!
