Ah, the sweet beginnings of holiday season! It’s the only time of year when I’m both so excited and so stressed at the exact same time- how confusing. I want Christmas to come soon but also need the day’s to slow down because my holiday shopping has yet to be completed. In years past, I would cut it so close right up to the week before Christmas and just browse the web haphazardly or run into a store and pick up the first thing I could find. The thing is I wasn’t finding the best price for the items and/or using coupons or other money-saving techniques. I would end up spending upwards of $2k in presents for loved ones which is wildly too much money. Now that I’m giving myself a head start, I have been using new shopping features in Microsoft Edge to save money and time! The built-in tools on the browser offer things like auto-fill coupons and price comparisons. Shopping made easiest!
Due to the pandemic, I have been trying my best to avoid going out shopping if I already know exactly what I’m looking for. The tricky part isn’t finding what to get loved ones (or myself), it’s finding the best deals for the items I’m purchasing. Microsoft Edge makes holiday shopping simple and quicker. The built-in coupon tool in the browser lights up blue in the address bar if there are coupons available and will notify you if there is a better price on another site. The Collections feature allows you to create multiple lists right in the browser. Whether it be a shopping list, images, certain paragraphs you’d like to highlight, or gift ideas for the holiday, Collections is a great way to organize all of your ideas and thoughts. Once you add an item to your new Collection list you’ll be able to compare the price of the item to other retailers and see the best price listed.
It’s time to take back that time spent at the store or the time searching for coupons or the best price and enjoy the holiday season for once!
