Oh my god, Paris.
So I know in the past I’ve said Stockholm is my favorite city and I would love to move there BUT THEN I VISITED PARIS. My oh my, is that city gorgeous? You literally walk down any street and it’s as if you’ve stepped into a movie scene. Even their alleyways are picturesque. It’s honestly breathtaking. I just recently got back from my ten-day Euro-trip and can honestly say Paris knocks London and Lisbon right out of the park in terms of beauty.
My trip began with a 12:30am flight out of Newark where I did not sleep at all for the six hour and fifty minute flight. Either it was something bad I ate on the flight, because I didn’t get any sleep on the plane, or it was something I ate when I got to Paris but my stomach did not agree with me during the whole trip which was upsetting because I missed out on the great food! What a bummer right? Nonetheless I had a fantastic time and really wouldn’t trade the experience for anything!
I was sent about twenty restaurant recommendations and being the scatterbrained person that I am I didn’t remember to try out any of them. Whoops! Luckily it didn’t matter, every restaurant was spectacular from cuisine to decor. Sometimes I would just walk into a restaurant, look around, and walk out just because they were that pretty (and because I wanted to take a photo for the road). I’ve been told things like, “The Eiffel Tower pales in comparison to the Empire State Building” and “You won’t be impressed by the Eiffel Tower since you live in NYC.” You were all WRONG. It’s a beautiful piece of art. Honestly, truly a masterpiece in itself. It’s amazing how the majority of Paris has been preserved for so long while we’re just knocking down buildings left and right to make something bigger and (not so much) better.
I vowed to myself that I would go back again VERY soon because I need to try all that food!
