Happy (really-but-not-really) Spring, everyone! It was above fifty degrees maybe 3 times this month. Eek. Here I am once again in sweatpants and sneakers because I LIKE TO BE COMFORTABLE. Sue me. When it comes down to it, I would totally choose to wear a pair of sweatpants over a pair of suit pants and a pair of sneaks over dress shoes/boots (mainly because of my heel issues). Yes, most of the time I choose the latter over the former because, duh, I like looking good for myself while walking the streets on NYC. But sometimes I really just can’t help it. If it’s early in the morning and I’m heading to work of course I’m going to wear sweatpants. It’s six o’clock in the morning, freezing, and pitch black outside. No one is looking at the way I dress. However when two o’clock rolls around and I get out of work I feel a bit like a slouch looking like I just woke up with a massive hangover from drinking till 4am (not the case usually). How could I wear a form of sweats while still looking presentable to the world?
Zappos teamed up with Cotton to create an online pop-up shop combining style and athleisure. My favorites! The campaign is called Zappos x Cotton Reframe Comfort Collection and you guessed it- it’s all made of cotton! If I do buy clothes in-store they almost always tend to be made of mostly cotton. I like the feel, the fabric is breathable and durable, and it keeps me cool. I tend to sweat- sorry, can’t help it. My life consists of mostly boing athleisurely activities so cotton is pretty much the only fabric in Brian Morr’s closet. Check out a couple looks I pulled together to show that you can look good while still remaining the true creature of comfort you were meant to be!
